Here’s a suggested tour of maple sugar houses around Killington, VT for the Sugar Maple Weekend.  We do recommend calling ahead.

Begin your tour at the Green Mountain Sugar House in Ludlow, VT. Visit their sugar house and learn about their maple sugaring process. Be sure to enjoy their famous maple soft-serve ice cream.   Address: 820 Route 100N, Ludlow, VT 05149  P: 802-228-715

Next, head to the Baird Farm in North Chittenden, VT. Explore their sugar house, learn about their maple syrup production, and sample their various maple products. They offer a wide range of maple syrup grades and maple candies. Address: 59 West Rd, North Chittenden, VT 05763  P: 802-558-8443

Continue to the Wood’s Vermont Syrup Company in Randolph, VT. They have a beautiful sugar house where you can learn about their syrup production and enjoy free samples of their maple products. Visit their store for maple syrup, candies, and other specialty food items.

Visit the Mom & Pops World’s Best Vermont Syrup in Pittsford, VT. They have a small sugar house where you can learn about their traditional sugaring methods. They offer free samples of their maple products and have a store with a variety of maple goods.

Next, head to the Maple View Farm Alpacas in Brandon, VT. While not a traditional sugar house, they have a small-scale maple sugaring operation you can explore. In addition to maple products, they also offer alpaca products and the opportunity to interact with their alpacas.

After visiting Maple View Farm Alpacas in Brandon, head to Cloudland Farm in Pomfret, VT. Cloudland Farm is a family-owned farm that produces maple syrup, among other products. Visit their sugarhouse to learn about their maple syrup production process and sample their delicious syrup. You can also find their products in their farm store.
