Mixers Announced for The Rest of 2019

Once a month the Killington Pico Area Association (KPAA) organizes a mixer that brings together business owners, employees, community organizations and other individuals to share food, news and camaraderie.  The rest of the mixers for 2019 have been scheduled, which will include a new business to Killington, and a crowd favorite- the annual Holiday Festival mixer.

The goal behind the community mixers is twofold: showcasing businesses and connecting Killington. Firstly, by moving the monthly mixers to different locations, the KPAA is able to highlight member businesses and raise community awareness about the area commerce. Secondly, mixers help to form a connection between the Town, the residents, the business community, and the Killington Resort.

“Each month we see a variety of people attend the mixers from those who work for local businesses to community members who want to share news about a local fundraiser,” explains Executive Director Michael Coppinger.  “Our mixers are open to everyone – even if they are not a member of our organization.”

The schedule for the remaining 2019 mixers is as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 3 – Sushi Yoshi
  • Monday, September 30 – Annual Meeting, Killington Grand Hotel (in lieu of October Mixer)
  • Tuesday, November 5 – Hops on the Hill with Black Dog Sports
  • Thursday, December 5 – Killington Grand Hotel & Preston’s Restaurant

For the majority of the year, mixers are scheduled on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30PM. However, towards the end of the year the schedule gets a little MIXED up. The Annual Meeting- which is held on September 30th– is held in lieu of the October Mixer. The Annual Meeting holds the largest member numbers and is where board members and other issues are voted upon. The December Mixer is held on Thursday, December 5th at 5:30PM so that businesses can decorate their display trees for Holiday Festival.
