More Snow On The Way!

KPAA COMMUNITY MESSAGE
March 22, 2024
Maple syrup is like a hug from Mother Nature, warming your soul with each sip.”  – Unknown
Spring in Vermont is certainly an adventure! We have received over 18″ of snow in the last seven days and there is another 12″-18″ expected over the weekend!

It is a sugaring weekend here in Vermont. The statewide Maple Open Houses are sure to bring on the sweetness! Sugar makers look forward to welcoming you with tours, tastes and so much more. Baird Farm is our member spotlight this week and if you have not visited them on sugaring weekend, the rosemary waffles are well worth the trip! You can see all the maple open houses here.

The Inn at Long Trail was full of love, laughter and tears on Wednesday evening when the community showed up to celebrate Patty Job McGrath with her whole family. It was an incredible turnout. Many stories were shared and Patty’s “light” will continue to shine down on us and live on.

Pico celebrates pass holders on March 30th with Pass Holder Appreciation Day! That same day the mountain invites you to help paint Killington pink when Love Your Peaks comes into town!

Restaurant owners please scroll down for an update from the Vermont Independent Restaurants (VTIR). In conjunction with the Vermont Chamber, they are utilizing lobbyists to  amplify your voices and become an essential resource.

Save the Date – April 21st – at Liquid Art!  Tyson Andrews returns to Killington after 25 years. He grew up here and went to Sherburne Elementary. Tyson heard about the Neil fire and it inspired him to create an event that would let him and others give back to the family that was so good to him.
Tyson is teaming up with Liquid Art to host an Art Auction where all proceeds will be given to the Neil Family rebuild fund. Watch for details in upcoming newsletters.
